My husband lost his eyeglasses while we were at Venice Beach on vacation. We searched optical stores and found IQ Optical near our hotel room and decided to give them a call. We were very impressed with their service from the very first contact over the phone to visiting them in person. They were able to give my husband a replacement pair of eyeglasses within two hours. If you’re ever in a bind, like we were while on vacation, don’t hesitate to give them a call and check them out!!

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I’m feeling quite frustrated. I purchased two pairs of beautiful glasses back in November. From the beginning, I was surprised to learn that the eye exam was conducted entirely digitally, with a doctor appearing on a screen to assess my vision. While I initially thought it was a modern and interesting approach, I later realized it led to an incorrect prescription.When wearing the glasses, everything — especially my phone screen — appeared distorted and asymmetrical. I returned to the store and shared my concerns, but was told the distortion was due to an early-stage astigmatism. However, I recently had another eye exam elsewhere, and the new results showed no astigmatism at all. The prescription was completely different, and the new glasses I purchased based on that are sharp, accurate, and comfortable.In addition to the prescription issue, I noticed that the inner coating on both pairs of glasses began peeling and scratching with gentle cleaning — even when using the provided cloth. While I initially assumed I may have been too rough with the first pair, the same thing happened with the second, confirming it’s an issue with the lens quality or coating. I’m generally very careful with my glasses and have worn previous pairs for years without problems.On a positive note, the staff was kind and welcoming. However, I believe the digital exam method carries too much risk for misdiagnosis. I’ll be having the lenses redone, as I still love the frames, but I’m very disappointed with the overall quality and experience.

I had the best experience with them, I broke my glasses and I needed one ASAP. I went 45 minutes before close but they were able to make my glasses and giving it to me even after they were close!! I can’t be more grateful with them, the two girls were super nice with me! If it was possible i would give them 10 stars. Highly recommend!!

What a GEM of a business! Linda and her team totally saved my butt. I cracked my glasses and didn’t have a back up pair with my current prescription - I was STRUGGLING trying to figure out what to do in the minimum 7-10 business days it was going to take any of my regular places to send me a new pair. That is until my partner found IQ Optical for me - I went in for an appointment at 10:30am and had a brand new pair of super cute, affordable prescription glasses by 4:30pm! Such an absolute lifesaver! Not to mention the team there are so helpful and lovely. Seriously thank you all SO MUCH!!

First time getting prescription glasses in LA and it was a wonderful experience. At first I had some trouble figuring out what options were most cost effective but Margie answered any questions I had and was very patient with me. Exceptional!The experience has been awesome. I have my glass frame prepared and would love to have a new pair of lenses due to increasing prescriptions. This is place is recommended by many of my friends so even if it is a little bit far away from where I reside I still spend one day heading there.The experience makes this trip worthwhile. The staff are nothing but friendly and professional with caring services and detailed answers to my questions. She introduced many available lens brands and helped me choose the fit one. I do not plan to purchase glass frames though, she gave thorough illustrations on the price and comparison between different types.The glasses have been worn for a month and I am starting to write this review now because I believe the time is long enough for me to make a robust and objective evaluation and I am more than satisfied with both the service and the products. Fantastic service. I managed to leave my reading glasses on the domestic flight to connect with our flight to LA. I was seen by IQ at 10am the day after we arrived in LA and my glasses were ready for pick up the same day. As a person with significant vision impairment they are not the easiest to make. We dove in purchased quality and functional transitional proscription glasses for my 6th grader that not only was mom approved but kid approved was such a good investment! I love this place! They had same day appointments and it didn’t cost much at all. They were very thorough with my exam and were able to tell the health of my eyes as well. Once it was all done it only took 2 days to get my glasses and I love them.

Had an excellent experience at this location! We scheduled fairly last minute, only a day or two prior to the appointment. When we arrived, Linda and Margie already had everything laid out for us to immediately begin looking at lenses and get an updated prescription.The actual optometrist exam was done remotely via teleconference, but the equipment and process was very well handled and I got some massive upgrades to my old prescription.As a style-challenged individual, the team was also great at helping me choose a frame for my face and communicative about pricing and features.All told, I got two pairs of regular glasses and a pair of Sunglasses with same-day turnaround (despite it being an afternoon appointment!)As someone who has had glasses since childhood, I was extremely impressed with Linda, Margie, and the facility. Highly recommend this location to others.

Not only did I enjoy this establishment in addition to the specific persons who assisted me personally and privately and specifically, I also told some very kind folks who I love in Pasadena, California about how passionate this business is with regards to how they treat their clients and handed them business cards of yours and put “Tell them I sent you” . I've been wearing glasses for many years. To me, IQ Optical is one of the best places. I found them a year ago, and so far, I've had two thorough vision exams there, and I purchased four glasses which I like very much. They offer excellent service, good prices, and decent frames. What I find striking is their attitudes and the way the procedures are carried out. They are calm and focused, and they won't waste a minute of your time or theirs. When they are with you, they are a hundred per cent with you, no distractions. My glasses were ready in a day or two after the eyes exams. Based on my experience with IQ Optical, I am now their loyal customer and I will strongly recommend IQ to anyone who needs a new prescription and new glasses.

IQ Optical’s staff (Margie & Linda) are helpful, resourceful, kind, and caring. And their prices are very competitive. I live in Ohio but traveled to Cali because of a family emergency. My 9 year old niece was in an accident that destroyed her glasses. I started searching for a place in LA that could replace kid glasses same day, and found IQ. I called to confirm that same day glasses were possible. When I got to the shop, I had her Rx, but the PD measurement was missing. They worked with me to get the measurement from the doctor who originally did the eye exam (who was being kind of difficult about releasing it). Instead of waiting around for the PD measurement, I picked the glasses and lenses, paid for them and left - hoping the PD info would come in time for same day pick up. They kept me updated via text. They let me know once they had the necessary information. They originally said the glasses would be ready by 4:30pm., but I received an updated time of 1:30! I received a final update around 1:10pm - glasses were ready! My niece was hospitalized and unable to come for the fitting, but I delivered the glasses that afternoon and she loved them!

I had the most amazing experience at IQ Optical from beginning to end. Margie was my technician who was so gracious and kind through the entire eye exam. She took her time and was very professional. My meeting with the eye doctor was like nothing I’ve ever experienced with an eye exam. The tests were extremely thorough and a lot of thought went into prescribing the right strength for my needs. I am so impressed with this place and to think that I just picked it from googling an eye place close to me. I really feel blessed to have found IQ optical.

Linda was so great, she let me in anyway and was happy to help me despite the time, she was accommodating, friendly, warm, and extremely professional. Her knowledge and skill enabled her to help me quickly and efficiently but without making the experience feel rushed at all. She answered all my questions and was really helpful. She took my prescription and my frames I brought in and two days later I got the call saying they were ready to pick up. I had the pleasure of seeing Linda again when I went in to pick them up and I love my glasses! She did such a great job with them and took the time to explain to me how to best care for them. She made the whole experience so positive overall and I will definitely be returning to IQ optical largely because of Linda!

I was in dire need of glasses after breaking my back up pair. Called their office and was able to get an appointment the same day. The Dr is remote and did an amazing job! Almost better and certainly faster than other offices I have been too. I was able to get a full exam, prescription, pick and order my glasses in 90min! The best part was they text me the next day to tell me my glasses were ready to be picked up, less than 24hrs later! They were Super sweet, helpful, and friendly in the office that made me feel comfortable with the whole procedure. They had great feed back when I couldn't decide which frame I wanted and even made sure to cover any and all needs I might have. I made an appointment online with this office which was convenient and easy. They immediately confirmed my appointment. The day of my appointment there was no waiting. The gals in there are very friendly and professional. I was taken to the back for an eye exam which involved sliding down and switching to three machines. Very high tech and easy. For the final eye exam, I was taken back to read eye charts with the Doctor present coming in via Zoom. She told me my exam results and showed me slides of the inside of my eye. I has never been examined in such a high tech and efficient way.Afterwards, I was assisted in picking out frames. Once my frames were ready, Margie texted me I could come pick them up. I was amazed that they were done in three days!!! I was so impressed with their time frame that I ordered a second pair. Thank you IQ Optical!!
